Minnie was just shining her black patent leather Gucci sandals when she stood up and saw him. He was walking down her lane and right towards her front door. Mickey had been her childhood sweetheart, and for so many years, they were inseparable. That is, until Mickey decided to enroll in Walt Disney University. Oh how she missed him, and somehow over the years, they had drifted apart.
-
Minnie smoothed the fur between her ears and got ready to answer his knock. Her heart beating a mile a minute, she waited anxiously. Wait a minute! Did he just waltz right past her cottage? Oooooohhhh, who cares anyways! She would call Donald and go out on date with him. That will show him!
-
Mickey was fumbling with his encyclopedias, almost dropping all of them on the ground when he accidentally skipped Minnie's house. How did he end up like this; back in town and selling books door to door. Minnie would never want him now. Where did her house go? I could have sworn it was somewhere here on this street.
-
Minnie changed into a pink polka dot mini dress and a bright pink bow (Mickeys favorite) and walked to Donnie's house. Donald saw her through the window in the same dress she wore every time she got depressed and started missing Mickey. He rolled his yes. Mickey, Mickey, Mickey!!! He was so tired of her brooding over him. He had long since given up on her going out with him. The one time they did, all she talked about was Mickey's cute sexy tail. Quackers!!!!
-
Minnie knocked and Donald immediately answered. Hi Donnie, how are you? I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the Watering Hole for some cheese and ice cream.
-
He squinted his eyes, uh oh, what is she up to. Sure Minnie, I would love you, I mean love to. They walked the short distance to the popular hangout in silence. Donald could tell there was something on her mind.
-
Minnie are you ok? You look distracted (not that the ten minute walk of silence gave anything away).
-
I'm fine Donnie, she said in her cute squeaky voice. Did you know Mickey was in town? She had just slipped it out when they opened the door to the restaurant and there he was.
-
They stood still for a few minutes; just staring in others eyes - as if they were the only ones there. Cough, cough, ahem! Hello guys, earth to mice.
-
Oh sorry Donnie, she quickly grabbed Donald's hand and with head held high, walked right past Mickey.
-
Mickey couldn't understand why she was so mad, she looked so beautiful. Exactly the same as he left her so many years before.
Donald sat at a table with Minnie and ordered their food. Nothing good could come out of this day. He could see them steal glances at each other. Worst date ever!!!!!!
-
Minnie, for Pete's sake, just go talk to him!
-
Who Donnie? What are you talking about. Are you ready to order? (Obviously oblivious to the fact that Donald had already ordered).
-
That's it! I've had enough! He grabbed Minnie's hand and dragged her to Mickeys table.
-
Mickey, great to see you. Here is Minnie, she still loves you. Minnie, it's been great, Mickey still loves you. Bye!
-
He walked out silently quacking on the inside. He turned around in time to see Mickey grab Minnie's hand and gaze in her eyes.
And that, my friends, is how Mickey and Minnie came to be.
