Prompt: Write a story, picture essay or poem about the sea. A warm and lovely sea
Author's Note: (This poem is a re-post from the prompt WWE, September 28th, 2011) I not only copied this poem that I wrote back then, I also edited it a bit. I will provide the link for the original version at the bottom of this page.
Although your life’s dreams are cast upon the sea,
The love you profess brings you back to me.
We are swept into a whirlwind; destiny keeping us apart
Yet, our mutual passion keeps us locked heart to heart.
Stormy shores scream death’s warning.
Murky depths and rocky cliffs scorn.
Daily we pray, bring that love back around
Oh how we hope the gods hear the sound.
You are my pirate, my one and only,
Since you control my heart, I never consider myself lonely.
The cross you wear around your neck,
Protects you from the birds so they do not peck,
At your soul and sweep you from the deck.
My love, my life, my husband, I do swear,
To forever hold your hand.
