William D. said this is Oxymoron month. Having no reason to doubt him, loving Sweet William, and loving this idea, I offer you the oxymoron challenge.
You can write anything you want, in any style you want, as long as it contains five or more oxymorons.
Here are a few of my favorites.
A little pregnant
Corporate ethics (really?)
Fresh dried fruit
This is really an easy challenge and it will be so much fun to read your responses.
Oh, if you google this, you’ll find a huge amount of oxymorons to draw from. (I don’t want to put a link in this post for fear of being marked as a spammer.)
Keep in mind, this is a monitored group and there are only a couple of rules, which are:
Make sure you put this (WWE, 9/11/13, Oxymoron) in your title.
Be sure to tag it with WWE, Gather Writing Essentials, Oxymoron (a bit silly as Gather’s search engine doesn’t work for me). Post to Gather Writing Essential.
I ask that you make your submission(s) by next Tuesday afternoon, but if you're late, just give me the link.
There is a limit of three submissions from each member per day. If you’re extremely prolific, spread out your work and post only three submissions per day.
Put this challenge statement at the beginning or end of your submission so readers will know what you’re supposed to do and won’t think you’re crazy.
Challenge: Write anything you want, in any style you want, as long as it contains five or more oxymorons.
BELOW ARE RESPONSES TO PRIOR CHALLENGES – Maybe not many, but what we received—WOW! Please let me know if I missed anyone's post and I'll get it linked for next week.
