My sister in law Dale lives in Florida. We visited her this past holiday. Her husband has a green thumb and his roses were still beautiful. My Camera is a canon Powershot A720IS.

Is that a bush or vining rose? Looks a bit like a President Lincoln rose in color and shape...

They have a screened area on their porch yard/patio pool area called a lanai. The roses were climbing on a trellis in this lanai.You made me think - I was not as observant as I thought I was. I don';t know the name of the rose but it was beautiful.

Lanai is the Hawaiian word for porch. All porches are called lanais here ;-)

I believe it could be a President Lincoln (or is it Mr. Lincoln?) rose

Beautiful job with the manipulations, Marilyn. This is the deep color of venous blood, which gives it a goth feel.
