Oh, my goodness! Gather ate another comment! I had commented about the play of light, rising air currents and water droplets forming this ominous sight which you have so well imaged. I also mentioned that the last time I was in the area was in 1976 when we visited Gatlinburg and drove up into the Smokies.

Wow. This looks like an Ansel Adams shot. Did you need a filter to make the clouds stand out?

That's such a great compliment, thank you so much Ann! :) No filter...I desaturated the image and increased the contrast, that's all....the scenery was just gorgeous... :)

Very nice. It's kind of an optical illusion. It can appear you are looking down a hill at crashing waves or up at a mountains cloud top. (Yes my eyes are getting bad)
